Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has launched a new political party, National Unity Platform (NUP) ahead of 2021 polls.

The party whose symbol is an umbrella said today that it will soon reveal its leaders in the various positions.
As the new party president, Bobi Wine who is aspiring to contest in the 2021 presidential elections said  are now a political party and are answering all the questions of those who have been asking about where we fall as an entity.

Bobi Wine, a popular figure among young Ugandans, announced last year he would challenge President Museveni in the 2021 elections, and in January this year started consultations ahead of the vote before he was blocked by police.

However, the presidential aspirant has been hosted on different FM radio stations and television stations in the past few days, mainly in Kampala and Jinja districts drumming up support ahead of the vote.

The MP has built a sizeable following among Uganda’s booming urban youth population, many of whom say they are tired of Museveni's long rule.

Mr Museveni seized power at the head of a rebel army in 1986 and many observers say they doubt he will ever give up power through democratic elections.
