Government officially hands over Mwitanzige-Kyabusinge health center III to community as ministry of health launches mask distribution in Kakumiro

Government of Uganda yesterday on 3rd July 2020 commissioned and officially handed over Mwitanzige-Kyabusinge health center III to the community of Mwitanzige sub-county in Kakumiro district midwestern uganda.
Mwitanzige-Kyabusinge health center III was built by Kakumiro District Woman MP who doubles the state minister for health in charge of general duties Robinnah Nabanja with the support from the community.
The function was officiated by the Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng who challenged the community to embrace family planning system so that they can produce children of their capacities to avoid illiteracy and school dropouts especially in rural areas.
Minister Aceng used the same opportunity to launch the mass masks distribution for Kakakumiro district and challenged the community to wear these face masks which was donated by government to avoid the spread of deadly corona virus.
Speaking at the same function the host, Robinnah Nabanja applauded the good cooperation of the community.
Meanwhile, Jorum Sekitoleko who represented the CAO Kakumiro district asked the government to look into minimum wage of health workers to enable them recruit enough health workers for good service delivery.
The function was also attended by the technical team from the ministry of health, Area MP for Bugangaizi east Onesmus Twinamasko, RDC Kakumiro, religious leaders among others.
