Kagadi man hacks wife to death accusing her of using a hoe to cut a banana

Police in Kagadi is holding one Sypriano Musinguzi 40 a resident of Maberenga C LCI Kisuura Parish, Bwikara-Nyakarongo, Kagadi District on accusations of hacking own wife to death using a panga.

Vastina Ndayisenga 30 a mother of five was hacked today early morning after preparing breakfast for her husband.

It’s alleged that after breakfast, the wife went to cut a banana for preparing lunch using a hand hoe which caused trouble.       The angry husband then picked a panga which she used to cut the wife severally on the face and other parts until she succumbed to over bleeding

One of the children who witnessed the scuffle narrates how their father used a panga to cut their mother as she was looking for tomatoes to prepare them a meal.

Residents shocked after witnessing the tragedy, condemned the deadly act and told the press that the family had not had any serious wrangle before.

Richard Tumwebaze the area councilor Bwikara sub-county and Andrew Mbusa councilors Mpefu sub-county asked couples to always use legal systems once they fall into family conflicts and condemned acts of domestic violence which they say have increased during this lockdown.

Detective ASP Herbert Akankwasa the district CID officer Kagadi and the OC station Bwikara Police station Julius Kabwogamu confirmed the incident and warned couples against taking laws in their hands but instead seek justice from police in case of any domestic misunderstandings.
